A fun and transformative story, The Music Man is family entertainment at its best! This musical theatre classic features songs like “(Ya Got) Trouble,” “Seventy-Six Trombones,” “The Wells Fargo Wagon,” “TillThere Was You,” “Gary, Indiana” and more! Meredith Wilson’s six-time, Tony Award-winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences since 1957 and is a family-friendly story to be shared with every generation.
The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City,Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band that he vows to organize – this, despite thefact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall.
Lunch seating begins at 11:00 am and the play begins at 1:00 p.m. No tickets are sent out in the mail, you will receive your ticket when you arrive. Look for the “Cargill Alumni Event” table in the theater lobby.
Our reserved tables will seat groups of 4 and 6. If you wish to be seated as a group, please indicate the names of the other parties on the registration form. All attempts will be made to honor all seating requests; however, we may have to adjust based on the seating that has been reserved. Note that we have reserved 2 tables (12 chairs) that do not require maneuvering steps. If you would like to be seated at a table that does not require steps, please indicate such on your registration.
