Arboretum Tulip Dig - Cargill Event

Come out to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and help us dig the tulip bulbs in preparation for the summer plant.

• Two days and two shifts each day
• 15 total volunteers allowed in each shift
• All volunteers complete this online volunteer waiver. Set up an account and sign up:

• Fill out personal info, then next screen select you are with Cargill
• No plant matter may leave Arb groups (no tulip bulbs) due to Jumping Worm invasive species
• Volunteers simply tell gate attendant at Arb upon arrival that they are volunteering with Cargill for tulips, they do not need to pay a fee

• The group will meet outside of the Oswald Visitor Center

• Volunteers should bring:

•  Refillable water bottle (we have several water stations throughout the Arboretum

• Sunscreen or rain gear

• Dress in layers and prepared to work outdoors

• Waterproof footwear or shoes you don't mind getting dirty

• Work gloves

• Any snack you might want

• Bug spray

• More and more, we recommend a tick repellent. REI carries some good ones

• For folks who wear contacts, protective eyewear is suggested. Even the tiniest piece of dirt or dust can feel very uncomfortable.
