A presentation and discussion on protecting yourself from fraud. This presentation is brought to you by the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office as part of National Consumer Protection Initiative. Eder Castillo prosecutes financial crimes for the county attorney’s office. He will help us understand all of the threats against us, how to avoid, and when and how to report them to authorities.


Scammers use many methods to try and get your money and identity. The most common goal is credit cards, but they also target wire transfer, cryptocurrency, checks, or money orders.
