Action Day - Pack Student Backpacks

Get involved in Action Day 2023! And get Free Twin Tickets

Each year more than 100,000 K-12 students in the greater Twin Cities return to school in the fall without the school supplies needed to support their work in the classroom. Join fellow CCA members to help Greater Twin Cities United Way reach its goal of providing 40,000 backpacks for some of these students. CCA will be packing 400 backpacks at our table. Each volunteer will receive two free Twins Tickets.

This year’s Action Day event will provide a robust 90-minute to two-hour volunteer experience where you will work in a group of up to 20 to pack 400 backpacks. Your volunteer experience will include: 

• Unpacking boxes of school supplies and setting up your station 
• Packing backpacks   
• Boxing completed backpacks 
• Cleaning up your station
